BRAKENMORE - FEATURE FILM

August - September 2015

I worked as Script Supervisor on Brakenmore, a feature length horror film by Carragh Lake Productions. I learned an incredible amount by having such a great cast and crew and working with fellow Script Supervisor Declan McSteen who really showed me the ropes on on what it takes to be a great Script Supervisor.

MAKING IT

- FEATURE FILM

June - August 2015

Making It was a feature film made in Kerry and written and directed by Eamon Norrris. It was my first ever job as Script Supervisor and I've never looked back since as this is the reason why I can't wait to pursue a career in script supervising.

An eight year old girl born with a deformity of the face opens her eyes to a world with no prejudice with a little bit of courage, imagination and a girl name Kayla.

ALL ABOUT ORLA FINUCANE

Profile

I am currently in final year of Cinematic Arts BSc in Ulster University Magee in Co.Derry, Ireland. My love for stories grew from a family where history, books and films were discussed at every family meal with parents whom both have the ability to paint incredible pictures of stories from their past in the most animated and passionate ways. There was a stage as a grew up that I could not get a wink of sleep without reading a single page of any book.

As I grew up English (shockingly) became my favourite subject at school and opened my eyes to so many new ways in which a story could be told.

In 2013 I completed one year of International Relations & Politics in Dublin and then began my first year of Cinematic Arts in 2014 where my love and knowledge of story-telling grew each and every day.

With that in the summer of 2015 I was assistant to course director Brian Nolan of the Film and Broadcast course in the Kerry ETB which led me to script-supervising two feature films that summer and I can safely say I've never enjoyed a job more in my life. Being able to incorporate my love for detail in story-telling in an occupation made me feel incredibly lucky.

Now I have nothing but pure excitement and motivation to continue on and be a part of as many stories and film that I possibly help to create.
